After the second time cancelling our climb of Mount Baker due to weather, we decided to just do something else while we were waiting for schedules and the weather to see eye to eye. Why not Mount Aix ("Ike's")? Here she is on Saturday:
Aix is the highest mountain in the area east of Mount Rainier. If you want to see of the nice views check here or here. It was a gratuitous snow climb in fortuitous weather. We got plenty of this:
There was even a nice summit scramble. It was an all around great day.(Why didn't we climb Mount Baker today?)
